» BlackBerry Krypton leaks, will be called Motion and support water resistance
BlackBerry
Motion was initially codenamed Krypton. The smartphone is expected to
feature a touchscreen and water resistance and might launch later this month.
BlackBerry's next smartphone, codenamed Krypton is now expected to
launch as BlackBerry Motion instead. Evan Blass has posted official
renders of the smartphone confirming that it will ditch Krypton in
favour of the 'Motion' branding. The
company might be trying to expand its brand outreach by using a
different naming scheme for its Android devices.
The smartphone will be made by TCL, BlackBerry's hardware
partner, and is expected to feature virtual keys. The smartphone is also
expected to feature a home button with an embedded BlackBerry
logo further highlighting the branding. The device renders highlight the
3.5mm audio jack. It might also feature a USB Type-C port.
