Samsung Galaxy S9: Release date, price, specs and rumours .

The Samsung Galaxy S9 launch is February 25 and will be the biggest of 2018 so far, with the eyes of the world firmly placed on the South Korean firm as it introduces its retort to Apple's iPhone X.

Samsung set the bar for flagship smartphones early in 2017 with its stunning Galaxy S8 and there's no doubt the South Korean tech powerhouse is looking to do the same in 2018.Alongside the Google Pixel, the Samsung Galaxy S8 emerged as a popular alternative to Apple's iPhone 8 and iPhone X phones last year. New Samsung flagship will be revealed at a dedicated event ahead of the Mobile World Congress event in FebruaryThere's very little official word on what to expect - apart from the cryptic invitation above. From the looks of things, Samsung will be pushing the camera upgrades as the biggest new feature in the Galaxy S9.
Samsung Galaxy S9 has been officially teased in several videos pointing to new camera abilities. We're also hearing that the phone could have an Animoji-like feature and two speakers. Plus, it's appeared in a benchmark and it might not cost as much as we'd previously heard.
According to the latest rumours, the forthcoming Android heavyweight will feature advanced 3D emoji characters that respond to facial expressions. These will be "more advanced" than the Animoji characters Apple created to show off the power of its iPhone X. It's also a way of putting a friendly face on the advanced facial recognition software called "Intelligent Scan" that the company is reportedly packing into the phone .

We now know when and where Galaxy Unpacked 2018 will be taking place. For this year Samsung is heading to Barcelona, where we'll finally get a look at what's new just a day before the giant Mobile World Congress event. The official time and date is February 25 at 6pm Central European Time, but unless you're holidaying in Spain here's the date to pop in your diary: February 26 at 4am AEST.That's pretty early in the morning so you might be asking if it's really worth setting the alarm for. Well, Samsung has long been using the Unpacked events to launch some truly great products. It was jammed full of impressive hardware and features, from eye-tracking software that would let you scroll up-and-down the screen without touching it -- and even pause videos when you looked away -- right through to Samsung's ground breaking octacore processor, the Exynos 5.That same pedigree of innovative technology was visible three years later, when Unpacked 2017 introduced the world to the Galaxy S8 and S8+ with their cutting-edge Infinity Displays. The Super AMOLED screen sported a super high Quad HD+ resolution (2960 x 1440 pixels) and curved over the edges of the phone, stripping away the wasted bezel area. It was the same display we saw later in 2017 when the Galaxy Note 8 arrived, just super-sized to an incredible 6.3-inches.

Set the alarm for 4am on February 26 and bookmark and sign up here to get all the details.Although details are still under wraps until the Unpacked event, thanks to Samsung Australia we are giving one lucky Australian reader the chance to win a Samsung prize pack.
We were expecting £640 / $720  the same as the Galaxy S8  to be the price of the new Galaxy S9 phone.

Xiaomi-Reliance Jio #GiveMe5 Offer.

Reliance Jio to provide cashback of Rs 2,200 on both of its newly launched Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro smartphones.

On purchasing the smartphones, Jio subscribers will receive double data as a part of the offer on recharging. Through this a total of upto 4.5TB of 4G data can be availed by Jio users on the purchase of the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. An instant cashback of Rs 2,200 will also be directly credited to a user’s Jio account after the first recharge. The Redmi Note 5 smartphones go on sale starting February 22.

The new phone brings a dual camera and the Univisium display to the Redmi line, which thanks to Honor and many others, have become the norm in the category. However, that was more or less expected from a phone launching in Feb 2018.
The Note 5 and the Note 5 Pro, that has been resolved. Xiaomi’s solution is to provide a taller 18:9 aspect ratio display. The taller 5.99-inch 2160 x 1080p display is still not the best size for a comfortable fit, even though the width is now lesser than Its predecessor. The 5.99-inch display here is just as good as we have come to see on Xiaomi devices. Xiaomi is still using an IPS LCD panel on the phone which has good viewing angles and good colour reproduction. Manufactured on a 14nm process the SD636 uses eight Kryo 260 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and is more similar to the Snapdragon 660 which uses the same Kryo 260 core clocked at 2.2GHz. Qualcomm claims that the Kryo 260 allows for 40% better performance than the Snapdragon 630 powered by eight ARM A53 cores.

XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 5 PRO PRICE IN INDIA 13999

The new phone brings a dual camera and the Univisium display to the Redmi line, which thanks to Honor and many others, have become the norm in the category. However, that was more or less expected from a phone launching in Feb 2018.

According to us, the newest aspect of the device is the chip that powers it. The Snapdragon 636 is not just a new chip, the Note 5 Pro is the first phone to bring it to India and combined with 4000mAh battery.
Design: The Note 5 and the Note 5 Pro, that has been resolved. Xiaomi’s solution is to provide a taller 18:9 aspect ratio display. The taller 5.99-inch 2160 x 1080p display is still not the best size for a comfortable fit, even though the width is now lesser than Its predecessor. That said, it is definitely an improvement over the last phone. The curved back does make the phone easier to grip, but at the same time, it feels heavy and does take some time getting used to. It still has plastic inserts on both the top and bottom of the metal back to incorporate the antennas. The dual cameras at the rear also come with a rather pronounced camera bump, which means the phone rocks everytime you tap on the display if it’s on a flat surface. Ideally, the rather large dual camera module at the rear should have been sitting flush with the body and not jutting out. All that said, the Redmi series was never really about the looks.
Display & UI: The display has rounded corners and thinner bezels, which add to the whole design appeal. The 5.99-inch display here is just as good as we have come to see on Xiaomi devices. Xiaomi is still using an IPS LCD panel on the phone which has good viewing angles and good colour reproduction. Xiaomi doesn’t specify whether the Redmi Note 5 Pro has Gorilla Glass on top for that added safety.MIUI looks just as colourful as it has been over the years. The first thing we should mention that you are not getting Android Oreo out of the box. Xiaomi itself suggest that customers not only prefer the latest Android, but the stock version of Android over MIUI. However, that poll was that taken down by the company. On the Note 5 Pro, MIUI9 carries forward it's no app drawer approach and tries to offer some added features such as dual apps and second space. You get some pre-loaded apps such as Microsoft apps, Facebook, Amazon, Myntra and Amazon Prime Videos app. You still get the added tools (calculator, clock, file manager, etc) and Xiaomi also has its own app store on-board which seems completely unnecessary since Google Play store is already here.
Performance: Manufactured on a 14nm process the SD636 uses eight Kryo 260 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and is more similar to the Snapdragon 660 which uses the same Kryo 260 core clocked at 2.2GHz. Qualcomm claims that the Kryo 260 allows for 40% better performance than the Snapdragon 630 powered by eight ARM A53 cores.
